The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU), established by the State of Tamil Nadu in 1997, stands as the first full-fledged sui generis Law University in India, setting it apart from other law universities across the nation. About The Opportunity
The 16th K.R.Ramamani Memorial National Taxation Law Moot Court Competition – 2026 is a premier taxation law moot of the institution. This prestigious competition is heldannually to honor the legacy of Late Shri. K. R. Ramamani, a luminary in the field oftaxation law, and to encourage budding legal minds to delve into the nuances of taxlaw and policy.
Over the years, the competition has established itself as a benchmarkfor excellence, offering participants a platform to explore intricate tax issues and arguebefore eminent jurists, legal professionals, and academicians. With the unwaveringsupport of S.A.P.R. Advocates, the 16th edition promises to be a stimulating andchallenging experience for participants, designed to push the boundaries of their legalacumen and advocacy skills.

Eligibility
- Bona fide law studentsenrolled in the three-year or five-year L.L.B/ B.L.degree course.
- Each participating institution may send one team only.
- Each team must consist of a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 3 members.
Two-member team:
- Both members shall be designated as Speakers.
Three-member team:
- Two members shall be designated as Speakers.
- One member shall be designated as a Researcher.
Registration Fee
All teams wishing to participate in the competition shall pay a registration fee of ₹1,180 (Rupees One Thousand One Hundred and Eighty Rupees only) on or before 5th Feb 2026 (extended from 27th January , 2026).
Prizes
- Winner: A trophy, certificate and a cash award.
- Runner-up: A trophy, certificate and a cash award.
- Best Speaker: A trophy, certificate and a cash award.
- Best Memorandum: A trophy, certificate and a cash award.
- Best Researcher: A trophy, certificate and a cash award.

- Final Registration Deadline: 5th Feb 2026 (extended from 27th January , 2026)
- Last Date for seeking clarifications: 30th January, 2026
- Release of clarifications: 01st February, 2026
- Memorial Submission (soft copy): 07th February, 2026
- Procedural Test (Online): 20th February, 2026 (Google Meet)
- Preliminary rounds and Quarter-finals (Online): 21st– 22nd February, 2026
- Semi-finals, Finals & Valedictory (Offline): 08th March, 2026
