The Moot Court Association of the School of Excellence in Law, Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University is pleased to host the 15th K.R. Ramamani Memorial National Taxation Moot Court Competition, 2025 (Hybrid): 12th- 15th February & 9th March 2025.

About 15th K.R. Ramamani Memorial National Taxation Moot Court Competition, 2025

Organized by the School of Excellence in Law, The Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University in Association with Subbaraya Aiyar, Padmanabhan and Ramamani (S.A.P.R) Advocates, this Taxation Moot addresses the common perception of taxation as a vast and highly intricate subject requiring specialized expertise.

Many law graduates are seen to be reluctant to take up taxation as their area of practice. Consequently, the practice of taxation is restricted to a limited set of advocates though taxation laws are one of the most extensively applicable laws in India. In order to develop the next generation of taxation practitioners, it is imperative that law students are given a practical legal platform and this Taxation Moot by School of Excellence in Law, Chennai aims to provide the same.

Mode of the Competition

The competition will be conducted in a Hybrid Mode.

• The Competition shall consist of the following rounds:
• Preliminary Rounds (Online); and

Advanced Rounds consisting of:

• Quarter-finals (Online)
• Semi-finals (Offline)
• Finals (Offline)

Important Dates

Registration Fee

All teams wishing to participate in the Competition shall be required to pay a registration fee of Rs. 1,180 (Thousand hundred and eighty Rupees – inclusive of GST).

Last Date of Registration

The Registration fee payable for the Competition must be paid by 31.01.2025, 11:59 PM IST.
