About the Competition

The moot problem for this year aims to assess participants’ understanding, research skills, and practical application of law within the realm of corporate law. The competition fosters legal excellence and provides participants with an opportunity to interact with leading industry professionals and academicians, helping them build a strong foundation for their careers. By engaging with contemporary issues in insolvency law, participants will not only sharpen their legal acumen but also prepare for future roles as advocates, corporate advisors, and policymakers.

  • Dates: March 6th – 8th, 2025
  • Mode of Conduct: Physically on Campus
  • Venue: Xavier Law School, XIM University

Eligibility

All students enrolled in a full-time 3-year LL.B. program or a 5-year integrated LL.B. program from a Bar Council of India recognized institution can participate.
Only one team per college can register.

Team Composition

Each team can have a maximum of three members (two speakers and one researcher) or a minimum of two members (one speaker and one speaker-cum-researcher).

Awards

  • Winner Cash Prize of INR 50,000 + One free Manupatra Academy course of choice.
  • Runner-up: Cash Prize of INR 30,000 + 75% discount on any Manupatra Academy course.
  • Winners and Runners-up team members: Bare Act on the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Law and Company Law (G.K Kapoor) by TAXMANN.
  • Second Runner-up: 50% discount on any Manupatra Academy course.
  • Best Memorial: Cash Prize of INR 10,000
  • Best Researcher: Cash Prize of INR 5,000
  • Best Mooter: Cash Prize of INR 5,000
  • All participants: 15% discount on any Manupatra Academy course.
  • All participants: 1-month free access to the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Module.

  • Commencement of Registration :- January 20th, 2025
    Last Date of Registration:- February 19th, 2025
  • Last Date for Clarification:-February 22nd, 2025
  • Release of Clarification :- February 27th, 2025
  • Last Date for Memorials (Softcopy):- March 3rd, 2025
  • Last Date for Memorials (Hardcopy):- March 5th, 2025
  • Researcher’s Test :- March 6th, 2025
  • Preliminary Rounds I and II:- March 6th, 2025
  • Quarter-final and Semi-final Rounds:- March 7th, 2025
  • Final Rounds and Valedictory Ceremony:- March 8th, 2025

Registration Fees

A registration fee of INR 5,000 per team (inclusive of accommodation and food) is required.
