About the Moot Court Competition
The moot proposition for this year is designed to assess participants’ understanding, research aptitude, and practical application of legal principles within the domain of criminal law and forensic investigation. The competition encompasses a wide spectrum of issues relating to substantive and procedural criminal law, evidentiary principles, and forensic science, enabling participants to develop a comprehensive understanding of how legal frameworks and scientific methods intersect in real-world criminal adjudication. It further explores the evolving jurisprudence surrounding criminal liability, investigation standards, and forensic evidence, with the objective of equipping the next generation of legal professionals with strong research, analytical, and advocacy skills.

- Mode of Conduct: Physically on Campus

Harirajpur-752050, District-Puri, Odisha, India
Eligibility
- All students duly enrolled and pursuing a full-time 3-year LL.B. program or a 5-year integrated LL.B. program from the Institution/University recognized by the Bar Council of India or equally competent authority shall be eligible to participate in the competition.
- Maximum two teams from a particular college can register for participation.
Team Composition
Each team shall comprise a maximum number of three members (two speakers and one researcher) or a minimum number of two members (one speaker and one speaker-cumresearcher).

- Winner Cash Prize of INR 50,000/- (Fifty Thousand Only)
- Runner’s Up Cash Prize of INR 30,000/- (Thirty Thousand Only)
- Best Memorial Cash Prize of INR 10,000/- (Ten Thousand Only)
- Best Researcher Cash Prize of INR 5,000/- (Five Thousand Only)
- Best Mooter Cash Prize of INR 5,000/- (Five Thousand Only)

Mode of Registration
Prior payment through NEFT/RTGS/ Net-Banking (Account details are provide in the Brochure) and filing the registration form thereon.
Registration Process
- Interested teams are required to register for the Competition by completing the Registration Form. Registration shall not be accepted through any means other than the Registration Form.
- Prior payment of INR 3,000/- (Three Thousand Only) per team as a Registration Fee is required to fill out the Registration Form. The registration fee shall be inclusive of accommodation and food.
- Every team must submit a payment of INR 3,000 (Three Thousand Rupees only) through Bank Transfer by January 18, 2026 (11:59 P.M. IST) to complete their registration for the Competition.
