About the West Bengal Human Rights Council
The Council will only be measured according to the kind of change it brings in a person’s life, the kind of impact our work has on the people. To protect human rights, to protect their dignity and to mobilize the capabilities of society to understand and exercise their rights and duties, apply the values of social justice and tolerance, promote equality and non-discrimination, stop human rights violations, announce positions and prepare periodic reports that promote human rights in the State of West Bengal.
Vision – We aim to firmly protect and develop Human Rights in the State of West Bengal.

West Bengal Human Rights Council is organising a webinar on the topic “The Human Rights Dimensions of Covid-19”
About the Guest Speaker
We are honoured to have Eleanor Hourigan as our Guest Speaker, Counsel for Human Rights and International Law in the United Kingdom.
The webinar will be conducted via zoom and the registration fee for the same is Rs.100/- which is being raised by West Bengal Human Rights Council to support an initiative called “Feed the Stray Animals”, updates of which shall be posted on West Bengal Human Rights Council pages daily after the webinar is conducted.
Certificate of Participation would be given to everyone attending the webinar and a separate Appreciation Letter from the Council would be given for providing active support for the said initiative.
