About NCDTC – WICCI
The National Cybersecurity & Digital Transformation Council (NCDTC) is a council under the Women’s Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (WICCI). It works to build awareness of cybersecurity, data protection, AI and digital law in the Indian context through knowledge sessions, webinars and research-driven content. The Council’s mission is to see women as leaders, and not merely participants, in India’s digital and cybersecurity ecosystem.
About the Speaker
Adv. Ishanvi Chhabra is an Advocate enrolled with the Bar Council of Delhi, practising before the Delhi High Court and various tribunals. Her practice spans civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, cyber law, technology law, contractual advisory and data protection compliance.

She advises and assists businesses on contracts, DPDP compliance and emerging technology-related legal issues, alongside handling litigation and cyber-related matters, including cyber fraud and the de-freezing of bank accounts. She has undertaken extensive legal research and academic work on Artificial Intelligence, cybersecurity, online dispute resolution, human rights and technology. She has also authored and presented research on emerging legal and technological developments before academic and professional forums.
About the Session
Artificial intelligence is changing both sides of cybersecurity. The same tools that help organisations detect threats and manage risk are being used to craft convincing phishing attacks, clone voices and create deepfakes. At the same time, employees and businesses share confidential and personal data with AI tools every day, often without asking where that data goes.
This interactive session, titled “AI, Cybersecurity & Data Privacy: Are We Ready?”, will explore how prepared Indian businesses and professionals really are and what readiness looks like under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the DPDP Rules.
The session will cover:

- AI-Enabled Cyber Threats: Emerging vulnerabilities and how AI is changing the way cyberattacks are planned and carried out.
- AI as a Cybersecurity Tool: How AI can be used to strengthen cybersecurity and risk management.
- AI and Data Privacy Under the DPDP Act: The data privacy implications of AI systems under the DPDP Act, 2023, and the evolving DPDP Rules.
- AI at Work: Confidentiality and Compliance Risks: What happens to confidential information and personal data when employees and businesses use AI tools.
- Data Breaches, Deepfakes and AI-Enabled Cyber Fraud: How these incidents unfold and what organisations and individuals can do when they are affected.
- Practical Readiness for Businesses and Professionals: The AI, cybersecurity and data-protection measures that make an organisation ready.
- Key Compliance and Governance Measures: Steps organisations should begin implementing now.
The session will draw on the speaker’s experience across litigation, advisory work and research, including cyber-fraud matters and DPDP compliance, to offer a practical perspective on where the risks lie and how to prepare for them.
Whether you are a law student, faculty member, legal or compliance professional, or someone who uses AI tools at work, this webinar offers an opportunity to understand how prepared we really are and what it takes to improve that readiness.
