About the Opportunity

We are extremely pleased to inform you that the Faculty of Law, The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda, is organizing the National Law Fest – ‘Lux Et Veritas scheduled to be held Virtual Round: 24th August 2025 and On Campus Round: 13th to 14th September 2025. Lux Et Veritas is a flagship competition organized by the Faculty of Law since 2006 and provides a platform to the students for them to imbibe the pragmatic skills of law and this National Law Fest is one such attempt to create a simulated atmosphere for future lawyers. The objective is to allow the students to delve into the intricacies of ­­different laws.

The National Law Fest will include:

• 12^th Moot Court Competition
• 11^th Client Counselling Competition
• 11^th Legal Drafting Competition
• 7^th Judgement Writing Competition.

Theme

This year’s Moot Proposition revolves around issues in the “Family Law and Criminal Law”.

Eligibility

All Law Schools and other institutions offering three- and Five-Year Integrated LL.B. programs are eligible to participate in the Competition. Each participating institution shall send One Team only to the Competition.

Team members must be bona fide students of the Institution they are representing.

Registration Fee

The Registration Fee of INR 4000/- for the National Law Fest is to be paid through a Demand Draft in the name of ‘The Director BSLS, Faculty of Law’, payable at Vadodara.

The cover should be marked as Lux Et Veritas 2025 and should be sent to the address as under:

Prizes

Moot Court Competition:

• Winning Team Award: The winning team will receive a trophy and a prize of INR 15,000/-
• Runners–up Award: The 1st runner-up will get a trophy and a prize of INR 10,000/-
• Runners–up Award: The 2nd runner-up will get a trophy and a prize of INR 7500/-
• Best Advocate: The Best Advocate will get a trophy and prize of INR 10,000/-
• Best Memorial: The team with the best memorial will receive a trophy and a prize of INR 10,000/-

Client Counseling Competition:

• Winning Team Award: The winning team will receive a trophy and a prize of INR15000/-
• Runners–up Award: The 1st runner-up will get a trophy and a prize of INR 10000/-
• Runners–up Award: The 2nd runner-up will get a trophy and a prize of INR 7500/-

Judgment Writing Competition:

• Winner Award: The winner will receive a trophy and a prize of INR 10,000/-
• Runners–up Award: The runner-up will get a trophy and a prize of INR 7500/-

Legal Drafting Competition:

• Winner Award: The winner will receive a trophy and a prize of INR 10,000/-
• Runners–up Award: The runner-up will get a trophy and a prize of INR 7500/-
• Please Note: All the participants of the Competition will be awarded with an E – Certificate of Participation.

• 24/08/2025 – Virtual Preliminary Rounds of Moot Court
• 25/08/2025 – Declaration of Results through Email
• 13/09/2025 – Memorials submission hard copy
• 13/09/2025 and14/09/2025 – On-Campus Advanced Rounds of Moot Court,Client Competition, Judgment Writing Competition and Legal Drafting Competition

Registration Process

The teams interested in participating are required to confirm their participation by emailing luxetveritas-[email protected] with a scanned copy of the duly filled registration form and a soft copy of the Demand Draft by 04908/2025.

On receipt of such a confirmation email, the Provisional Registration of that Institution/College shall be deemed as accepted and confirmed for participation.

The hard copy of the duly filled Registration Form accompanied with the Demand Draft of INR 4000/- for the National Law Fest must reach the Organizers on or before 11/08/2025.

Kindly note: The email has to be sent through the University/School/College/Department’s official email address. Emails sent through personal/ unofficial email addresses or emails sent to any other email ID other than the above-mentioned shall be considered invalid.
