About Nari Gursahani Law College

Established in 2004, Nari Gursahani Law College (NGLC) is a distinguished institution under the aegis of the Hyderabad (Sind) National Collegiate Board (HSNC Board). The College is named in honour of Dada Nari Gursahani, a renowned Supreme Court advocate, humanist, philanthropist and eminent social reformer whose legacy continues to inspire the institution’s commitment to legal education and social responsibility.

NGLC is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. The College is approved by the Bar Council of India (BCI) and recognised by the Government of Maharashtra. It offers comprehensive legal education through its Five-Year B.A. LL.B. and Three-Year LL.B. programmes, fostering academic excellence, professional competence and a strong sense of social responsibility among aspiring legal professionals.

About The Opportunity

The 17th N.G. Fest – Vidhi Manthan 2026 National-Level Moot Court Competition offers law students an opportunity to develop and demonstrate their skills in legal research, written advocacy, oral arguments, legal reasoning and courtroom presentation.

The competition is designed to simulate real courtroom proceedings and foster excellence in legal argumentation. Participants will compete through written memorials and oral rounds before a Bench.

The competition is open to law students from recognised Law Colleges and Universities across India.

Theme

“Constitutionalism in the Algorithmic Age: Digital Surveillance, National Security and Fundamental Rights”

Eligibility

Participation is open exclusively to bona fide, full-time students pursuing a 3-year or 5-year LL.B. degree programme during the academic year 2025–26 from any recognised Law College or University in India.

Each participating institution may depute only one team consisting of three students:

  • Two Speakers
  • One Researcher

The Registration Form must be duly signed and sealed by the College Principal/Head of Department.

Registration Fee

₹1,200 per team

The registration fee is non-refundable.

Teams must complete their registration through the official Google Form on or before 29th August 2026 and upload:

  • Payment Receipt
  • Duly completed Registration Form

Prizes

  • WINNER: Trophy + ₹6,000 Cash Prize
  • RUNNER-UP: Trophy + ₹3,000 Cash Prize
  • BEST RESEARCHER: Trophy + ₹1,500 Cash Prize
  • BEST MOOTER: Trophy + ₹1,500 Cash Prize
  • CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION: All registered participants present through the Valedictory Function will receive a Certificate of Participation.

Registration Process

  1. Complete the official Google Form on or before 25th August 2026.
  2. Pay the ₹1,200 non-refundable registration fee per team.
  3. Upload the payment receipt.
  4. Upload the Registration Form signed and sealed by the Principal/Head of Department.
  5. Submit soft copies of both Petitioner/Appellant and Respondent Memorials in PDF format by 10th September 2026, 11:59 PM IST.
  6. Email the memorials to [email protected].
  7. Bring four hard copies each of the Petitioner/Appellant and Respondent Memorials on the day of the competition.
