Roles and responsibilities
As an Advocate, your principal goal is to perform a range of duties including (and not limited to) conducting legal research, assisting in drafting, supporting in preparation of the matter, attending court proceedings, making notes and filing legal documents.
Our Office provides a very rich hands-on and varied experience to the Juniors. As long as you have a stellar attitude and a never-ending appetite for learning, there is no limit to the exposure you can receive in this very close-knit set up.
To be successful in this role, other than having the right legal aptitude, one must have a strong problem- solving ability, very high work ethic, and good written and verbal communication among other competencies.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support on various activities to one or more lawyers
• Undertake legal research work for various clients
• Drafting activities
• Prepare for the matters
• Edit and proofread legal documents as may be required
• Organize legal documents/client files and ensure they are updated
• Ensure all court documents are in order and filed before deadlines
• Prepare different legal documents including (and not limited to) appeals and petitions
Requirements:
• Law Graduate from a reputable University
• In-depth knowledge of legal documents and terminology
• Good written and verbal communication
• Good Problem-Solving ability
• Self-Motivated & takes Initiative
• Good Work Ethic
• Excellent time-management and task orientation
• Skilled with MS Office and Adobe
• Very High Learning Aptitude
