3-year LLB Course
To pursue a 3-year LLB course, a candidate must have completed the Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. The criteria for admission concerning the cutoff marks for admission to the course varies between colleges.
5-year LLB Course
To pursue a 5-year LLB course, a candidate must have passed the class 12th board examination. The candidate must have scored at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination.
Different Options for LLB Course after Class 12
There are a wide number of choices available to a candidate for studying the LLB course after completing the class 12 board examination. The options are listed below:
BA LLB: This is a five year degree course that can be pursued after completing class 12 board examination. This course includes the subjects of Arts along with the subjects of law.
BSc LLB: This is another double degree course that has a course duration of 5 years. The eligibility criterion is passing the class 12th board examination. The BSc LLB includes the subjects of science along with those of law.
BBA LLB: This 5 year dual degree course includes the subjects of business administration with the LLB degree.
BTech LLB: This course also has a duration of 5 years and has the subjects of BTech in conjunction with the subjects of law. The basic eligibility required is passing the 12th board examination with science subjects and holding a scorecard from the engineering entrance examinations.
BCom LLB: This is a dual degree course that combines the subjects of BCom with the LLB course. The minimum eligibility criteria is passing the class 12 board examination with commerce. The cutoff percentage is different for different colleges.
BCA LLB: As the name suggests, this 5 year dual degree course combines the course of Bachelors in Computer Applications with the LLB course. This is also one of the popular career choices. The candidate must have appeared in the CAT examination and hold a valid scorecard of the same.
