About the TMV’s Lokmanya Tilak Law College

TMV’s Lokmanya Tilak Law College was established in 2012 and approved by the Bar Council of India. B A., LLB (Five years) and LLB (Three years) courses are offered.

About the Moot Court Competition

TMV’s Lokmanya Tilak Law College endeavours to develop legal acumen and research skills of the students and provide a platform to explore emerging issues of law. Law College takes immense pleasure in announcing the First National Moot Court Competition 2021.

Rounds of the competition

The competition will have the following rounds:

a. Preliminary Rounds,

b. Quarter Final Rounds,

c. Semi Final Rounds,

d. Final Round.

Eligibility

a. Students pursuing 3 years/ 5 years undergraduate LL.B. degree course are eligible to participate in this competition.

b. Only one team can participate from each institution.

Participation

In order to confirm participation, teams of every Institution should register themselves. Registration fee for every team is Rs. 1,000/- (One Thousand Rupees Only)

The duly completed Google Form for Registration with all team details and NEFT must be submitted to the Moot Court Association on or before 25th March, 2021 by 11:59 p.m. (IST). No change in the names of the participants shall be permitted after the receipt of the Registration Form, except at the sole discretion of the Organisers.

Registration

All teams shall be given a ‘‘Team Code’’ by the Organisers on validation of their Google Form for Registration and NEFT.

The teams shall use their designated “Team Code” for all correspondence with the Organizers.

The same team code must be used by the teams during the submission of Memorials and during all the Rounds of the Competition.

Important dates

Online Registration : 15th February, 2021- 25th March, 2021

Submission of Memorials (soft Copy) : 1st April, 2021.

Date of Competition : 16th April, 2021

Perks

a. Winner of the Final Round will be given the “Best Team” certificate, memento and a cash prize of Rs. 7000

b. Runner-up of the Final Round will be given the “1st Runner Up” certificate, memento and a cash prize of Rs. 5000

c. Team with the highest memorial scores will be given the “Best Memorial” certificate, memento and a cash prize of Rs. 1000

d. “Best Mooter” award will be given the “Best Mooter” certificate, memento and a cash prize of Rs. 1000

e. In addition to the above, certificates will be issued to all the participants only during the valedictory function and no prior request shall be entertained in any case.
