Sidebar and NLUJ Sign MoU at Juris Homecoming 2025

At Juris Homecoming – the 2025 Alumni Meet organised by the NLUJ Alumni Association and National Law University Jodhpur, Sidebar was represented by its Founder and alumnus, Purusharth Singh (Batch of 2008, International Trade Law Hons.), where a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Sidebar and NLUJ.

This collaboration is aimed at bridging the gap between classroom teaching and the real-world boardrooms and courtrooms where deals are struck, regulations are shaped, and futures are decided in India’s burgeoning clean energy and infrastructure ecosystem.

As part of the MoU, Sidebar and NLUJ will roll out the following initiatives:

1. Semester-long Credit Course on Energy & Tech Transactions and Regulatory – blending academic rigor with hands-on insights into dealmaking, regulatory navigation, and high-stakes transactions.
2. Sidebar Social Moot Court (Regulatory) – giving students the chance to experience what it feels like to argue complex energy regulatory cases.
3. Negotiation Competition (Transactions) – simulating real-life infrastructure and energy project negotiations, sharpening deal-making and problem-solving skills.
4. Specialized Internships & PPOs – ensuring top-performing students don’t just learn but also step into meaningful career opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, Purusharth Singh said:

“For me, this MoU is more than a formal agreement—it is a personal commitment to give back to the institution that laid the foundation for my journey. Together, we aim to shape the next generation of lawyers who will navigate India’s energy transition and technological growth.”
