About the Competition

The Peitho Cup 2025 is the inaugural Inter-University Asian Parliamentary Debate Championship, hosted by CHRIST (Deemed to be University), Pune Lavasa Campus, and organized in collaboration with the Centre for Competitive Examinations (CCE) and the Debate and Literary Society. This flagship championship invites students from all recognized Indian universities—across both law and non-law disciplines—to compete in a high-caliber debate under the Asian Parliamentary format. The competition features online preliminary rounds followed by on-campus final rounds, offering a dynamic platform for intellectual exchange, critical analysis, and oratorical excellence.

• Preliminary rounds: Held online for nationwide participation
• Octa, quarter, semi, and final rounds: Hosted on-campus at Lavasa
• Prestigious guest speakers including Justice J. Chelameswar (Former Supreme Court Judge) and Mr. C. Balagopal (Former IAS, Chairman – Federal Bank)
• Motions cover contemporary social, economic, and cultural themes

1. Teams: Each recognized university/college may nominate up to three teams. Open to both law and non-law students.
2. Registration: Team registration through official college/student association email ID. Early bird and regular registration options available.

3. Payment Steps:

• Visit the official campus website.
  • Select “E-Services” > “Online Payment Portal”.
  • Choose “Fest/Event” as Fee Name and “Peitho Cup-PDB” as Category.
  • Complete payment and save receipt.
  • Fill the Google registration form after payment.

4. Accommodation & Food: Additional payment required for teams qualifying for offline rounds, to be paid separately.
