About the event

SVKM is inviting to the Second edition of  NMIMS Eristica- an Online National Level Debate Competition. In the wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, it is paramount for us to adapt to this new normal.  An attempt to do the same is the motivation behind this debate competition.

A debate provides the contestants with a safe platform to argue and learn. Our debate competition aims to provide the students with an opportunity to grow and excel. This is a great opportunity for all the students to enhance and advance skills like communication, critical thinking and research. All these skills are an essential in today’s competitive times and this competition will provide them with the perfect platform to learn and flourish.

Critical thinking helps one in reasoning and aids one’s process of thinking out of the box while at the same time, retaining a level of scepticism while imbibing the qualities of curiosity and inquisitiveness. This competition aims to act as a platform to test these skills and provide a medium for the students to excel. It aspires to help mould students’ communication and presentation skills which are imperative for the students.
