Center for Child Rights (CCR), National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi started its work with focus on child protection in partnership with United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF). The vision of NUSRL and UNICEF is to develop the Center as a center of excellence for child protection and child rights. CCR has undertaken many activities where it has successfully conducted seminars, trainings and workshops for different functionaries. The center has worked tirelessly in the field with its expertise and knowledge sharing. The student members of the center have helped many local organizations with their support by preparing ready reckoners for police officers and modules on laws related to children besides acting as rapporteurs for state level meetings and consultations.
About the Internship
To carry on with its goal, the Center for Child Rights is proud to announce its ‘Part-time Online Internship’ as part of its continued efforts to provide an opportunity to students who wish to contribute to legal research within the ambit of child rights, child protection and juvenile justice. The internship is purely research-oriented and drafting centric, revolving around the realm of child rights concerns and shall be conducted virtually as a work from home initiative.
- The internship will commence from 3rd of May and will end on 31st May.
- The interns are expected to work from home and prepare research articles and reports as per the instructions from the internship co-ordination committee.
- Interns will be expected to submit the research work within a specified timeframe which shall be examined by the research analysts and after final submission; they will be allotted their next topic.
- The internship is purely research oriented and people with good writing and drafting skills would be preferred.
The internship would run for a period of 30-days and only after the final report submission at the end of the stipulated period, will the internship certificates be provided. - The internees are required to submit a minimum of three research articles. The word limit of each article is minimum 2400 words.
- The internees shall submit the synopsis of one page for each article, consisting of research area, research topic, exact title of the research article, objectives of the research, methodology and proposed structure of the article within five days of the confirmation of the internship.
- The CCR reserves the right to reject any topic proposed by the internees and to suggest other areas. The CCR will review the articles submitted and only the quality articles will be accepted for final submission.
- The internee can claim internship completion certificate only when he/she successfully submits all the three articles by reviewing the same according to the observations made by the CCR.
- In case of any dispute regarding internship, the decision of the CCR shall be final.
Submission Guidelines
- All submissions must be in Times New Roman, font size 12, and with line spacing 1.5.
- All citations shall be in form of Hyperlinks. However, citations that cannot be hyperlinked should be added as end-notes.
- Citation format should be Bluebook- 21st edition.
- All the relevant sources must be duly acknowledged.
- Plagiarism should be avoided and must not exceed beyond 20 percent.
Who can apply?
Students pursuing undergraduate or post-graduate programme in the discipline of law, social science or humanities having good research skills and are willing to continue with research work, may apply.

Note:-
Interns are expected to maintain decorum during the period of internship and not to indulge into any acts of indecency. These prohibited activities would include:
- Strong verbal arguments with center members/fellow interns.
- Contacting and disturbing other fellow interns/center members without a valid purpose.
- Harassing/sending inappropriate messages to center members/fellow interns.
Any such act shall be investigated and actions would be taken accordingly. We strive towards making this internship a valuable learning experience, hence anyone found indulged in the above activities shall not only be dismissed from the internship and blacklisted, but due information shall be conveyed to the respective institutions from which they are affiliated.
Instances of any such acts can be directly reported to the Center/internship head.
