University School of Law and Legal Studies at Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, situated in Dwarka, New Delhi, was founded in 2001. The college’s objective is to furnish an intellectually stimulating, socially invigorating, and professionally enriching education. This is achieved by nurturing academic potential, fostering critical analytical ability, and honing skills in advocacy, counseling, and ADR. The Law School aspires to unveil new horizons in the realms of law, legal studies, and theoretical as well as clinical legal education. The Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has been accredited with a CGPA of 3.56 on a seven-point scale at A++ Grade valid for 7 years from 14-02-2023.

As we embark on the NSS March for Change, under the theme “Building a Better World Together,” we are not merely organizing events; we are catalyzing a movement. This theme encapsulates the essence of NSS, embodying its spirit of inclusivity, collaboration, and proactive engagement.
Throughout the month, we will rally around a series of events and competitions that not only showcase our commitment to addressing global challenges but also celebrate the power of unity in fostering positive change. Each event is carefully curated to resonate with the core values of NSS, inviting participation from every corner of our community and beyond. While the events listed here are just a glimpse, they embody the spirit of our collective effort to create meaningful change.
About the Competition
Holi is a festival with deep cultural roots in India. It is also known as the “Festival of Colours” and signifies the victory of good over evil. Holi is celebrated in India and various parts of the world. People celebrate by smearing each other with colored powders, exchanging sweets, and dancing to traditional music. Holi is a time of joy, unity, and love. Holi has been celebrated in India for centuries and is an integral part of the country’s cultural heritage. By having a reel-making competition focused on the festival, participants can raise awareness about the importance of preserving the cultural heritage associated with the festival.
A reel-making competition can provide a platform for participants to express themselves and their unique perspectives on the festival. By having a reel-making competition centered around the festival, participants can showcase their unique ways of celebrating the festival and learn about the diverse ways it is celebrated across India. It would be a great way of promoting cultural awareness and preservation. A reel-making competition would provide a creative outlet for participants to showcase their skills in reel-making competitions, storytelling, and editing. It encourages participants to think outside the box and come up with innovative ideas to represent the festival of Holi.
Eligibility
The competition is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students of Delhi-NCR only.
Theme
The theme for the Holi reel-making competition is “Celebrating Holi: Preserving Our Cultural Heritage.” This theme encourages participants to create reels that showcase the rich cultural heritage associated with the festival of Holi and the importance of preserving it for future generations. Participants can tell us how Holi is celebrated in their region as we all know Holi celebration varies from region to region.
Judging Criteria
- The reels can be in English or Hindi. Other languages are also allowed but that would mandatorily require subtitles in English. Reels, in languages other than English or Hindi without subtitles would be disqualified.
- Content should be clear and factually correct. We are looking for a live-action video, and not an animated style video, with imagination and originality that will appeal to others.
- The reels presented must respect the theme of the competition and strictly adhere it.
- No copyrighted materials (music, images, video clips, etc.) may be used for this contest unless you own the copyright or have a license to use the material for this contest. Written permission must be obtained and provided upon request for all copyrighted materials.
- The entries must be submitted through the Google form provided by NSS Law Unit only.
- Multiple entries by a participant are not allowed. In case it is found, all the entries will be considered as invalid for the said participant.
- The reels should not incite hate or disrespect to any community or person. Abusive comments, political views and especially sexist remarks are strictly prohibited.
- No use of slang and un-parliamentary language in the video.
- The reels will be judged on the basis of:
- Content: the originality of the idea
- Structure: the way the idea is organized, laid out, and presented
- Visual Design: the look and creativity of the video
- Overall experience: message comprehension, impact on audience
- Cultural sensitivity: The presentation takes into account the sensitivities of other cultures and regions and must not contain content that others might interpret as offensive
- Final ratings shall be decided by aggregating points awarded by a panel of judges and the highest number of likes gained on a particular reel in a specified time of 12 hours on the NSS Law Unit Instagram page furthermore, it is mandatory to follow the NSS Law Unit Instagram page.
- The entries submitted would be the sole property of NSS, with the right to use them for any purpose it considers appropriate.
- Ownership of the underlying intellectual property of the reel shall be with NSS, upon submission.
In case of any dispute, the decision of the organizers of the event shall be final and conclusive.
Prizes
Merit Certificates and other prizes will be awarded to the top 3 entries and E-certificates of Participation will be provided to each participant.

- Results: 26th March 2024 (in offline Valedictory event at GGSIPU Main Campus, Golf Course Rd, Sector 16 C, Dwarka, New Delhi -110075)
