Madhyasthta-The ADR Cell of Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University)’s New Law College, Pune, on the occasion of International Women’s Day brings to you a panel discussion on “Equality and Inclusivity in Dispute Resolution” with accomplished women in arbitration.

About the New law college

New Law College is a law college situated in Pune. It was established in 1978. New Law College has been a constituent college of the Bharati Vidyapeeth university since 1996. The college is approved by the Bar Council of India, and has NAAC “A+ grade”. The current Dean of the college is Professor Dr. Ujwala Bendale.

About Madhyasthata: The ADR Cell of New Law College

Madhyasthta – The ADR Cell is a student initiative by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed to be University’s New Law College, Pune. The Cell was instituted on August 01, 2019 and has since has been working efficiently under the guidance of Dr. Bhagyashree Deshpande ( I/C Principal, New Law College, BVDU, Pune) and Ms. Shivangi Sinha ( Assistant Professor and Faculty Coordinator, Madhyasthta), in training and developing the skill-sets of the students in the field of ADR i.e. Arbitration, Mediation, Conciliation and Negotiation. The cell has conducted various Seminars, Webinars, Panel Discussions and Intra-College competitions and at the same time has worked immensely for spreading awareness about ADR practices within student community and giving information regarding various national and international competitions. The cell intends to promote the concept and effective practice of Alternative Dispute Resolution amongst the students and legal fraternity and looks forward to providing solace for every dispute.

About the Panel Discussion

On the occasion of International Women’s Day this March 08, Madhyasthata is organizing an online panel discussion on the subject, “Equality and Inclusivity in dispute resolution”.
