About Navrachana University

The Legal Aid Committee of the School of Business and Law at Navrachana University is dedicated to upholding its tradition of organizing educational activities and promoting legal awareness. The Committee also operates a Legal Aid Clinic that provides free legal assistance to those in need. In pursuit of these goals, the Legal Aid Committee collaborates with various external organizations to conduct a wide range of awareness events.

In line with this commitment, On the Occasion of World Literacy Day, the Committee is proud to announce the ‘National Reel Making Competition 2024’— a unique and educational event open to UG and PG students from all disciplines.

Eligibility

Participants must be enrolled in any bachelor’s or master’s degree program from any discipline at a recognized university. Teams can consist of up to four members,

Theme

The Theme for the National Reel Making Competition 2024 is “One Nation, One Vision: Planting the Seeds of Knowledge.’’

Suggestive Sub-Themes:

• Literacy as a Foundation for a Strong Nation: Explore how literacy is the cornerstone of national development and unity.
• Unity in Diversity: The Role of Education Demonstrate how education fosters national unity by bridging cultural and social differences.
• Youth and Literacy: Building Tomorrow’s Leaders Show how educating the youth today lays the foundation for strong, informed leaders of the future.
• The Future of Digital Literacy in India: Focus on the importance of digital literacy in the modern era and its role in bridging the educational divide.
• The Role of the Judiciary in Upholding the Right to Education: Showcase landmark judicial decisions that have reinforced the right to education in India.
• Human Rights and Education: A Legal Obligation Discuss the intersection of human rights law and the obligation to provide education to every individual.
• The Role of Educators in Nation-Building: Celebrate the contribution of teachers and educators in shaping the nation’s future through literacy.
• Gender Equality in Education: Legal Challenges and Solutions Analyse the legal provisions that aim to eliminate gender discrimination in education.
• Legal Literacy: Empowering Citizens through Knowledge Highlight the importance of legal literacy in empowering individuals to understand and exercise their rights.

• General Awareness: Knowledge about various topics like science, history, economy, and culture that enhances understanding of the world.
• Current Affairs: Up-to-date information on recent events, news, and developments in politics, economy, sports, and global issues.
  Disclaimer: The sub-themes are suggestive; participants may select any other relevant topics for their reels.

Submission Guidelines

• There is no Registration Fee.
• Team of minimum 2 and maximum 4 participants.
• Multiple Entries by the same participant are not allowed.
• The maximum duration for a video is 30 to 60 seconds.
• Videos must be uploaded to the Google Form.
• Video Technicalities: The video should be in the format of mp4 or mov only.
• Participants must give an Innovative Name to their team while uploading.
• Any instance of vulgarity will result in immediate disqualification.
• The video must not disclose the identity of the participant or their affiliated institution in any way.
• The Organizing Committee reserves the right to interpret, apply, and amend the rules and regulations of the competition. All decisions made by the Committee are final and binding.

• 2nd Place: Certificate of Merit
• 3rd Place: Certificate of Merit
• All Participants: Certificate of Participation

• The trophy will be dispatched to the address mentioned by the participant in the Google Form.

• Creativity and originality
• Clarity and impact of the message
• Technical quality (visual and audio)
• Overall presentation
