About the CARTAL

Centre for Advanced Research and Training in Arbitration Law: The Centre for Advanced Research and Training in Arbitration Law is established by the National Law University, Jodhpur to promote research and scholarship in specialized fields of arbitration law.

It seeks to empower students with a theoretical and practical understanding of arbitration law by providing a platform for academicians, professionals, and law students to interact and discuss contemporary issues in arbitration law. The mandate of CARTAL is achieved by the organization of workshops, certificate courses and guest lectures to facilitate the understanding of such issues. 

About the IJAL

Indian Journal of Arbitration Law: The Indian Journal of Arbitration Law [IJAL] is a bi-annual, open-access journal, published by CARTAL. It is the leading Indian journal on arbitration law. While the ‘Indian’ in the name of the journal indicates the source of publication, the journal itself has consistently focused on topics of global interest and relevance.

About the CARTAL Conference

The Centre for Advanced Research and Training in Arbitration Law and the Indian Journal of Arbitration Law are organizing the 6th CARTAL Conference on International Arbitration, 2022. 

The CARTAL Conference on International Arbitration gives law students an opportunity to learn about the contemporary issues in international arbitration, from experienced practitioners and academicians of the respective field.  In 2020, CARTAL successfully conducted the 5th CARTAL Conference on International Arbitration.

In keeping with previous years, CARTAL is organizing the 6th CARTAL Conference on International Arbitration. This year, the Conference is institutionally supported by ICC, HKIAC, SIAC, MCIA, CiArb, AAA, ICDR, AIAC, TDM OGEMID, Young ICCA, and Society of Indian Law Firms. Further, Wolters Kluwer is the knowledge partner for the Conference.

The Conference will be held from April 1 to April 3, 2022; and will comprise a total of 3-panel discussions. Each panel discussion shall be conducted from 5 PM to 6:15 PM IST on the respective dates.
