About the Opportunity

ICFAI Law School, Hyderabad proudly presents the “Justice B. Subhashan Reddy Memorial Drafting Competition 2025.” Building on our tradition of prestigious legal events, this competition aims to cultivate precision and skill in legal drafting, honoring the legacy of Justice B. Subhashan Reddy. Following our past successes, including the NJ Yasaswy Memorial Moot Court Competitions and the esteemed All India Inter University Moot Court Competition, this event will gather aspiring legal minds from across the nation to demonstrate their expertise in drafting legal documents. Join us for this enriching experience as we celebrate excellence in legal education.

Theme

• The participants would be provided with a factual situation 5 minutes before the scheduled competition time on their registered email IDs.
• Based on the given factual situation, the participant shall draft a Petition/Complaint/Plaint/Conveyancing deed, as the case may be as per the standard procedure observed in the courts of India.
• After the release of factual situation/statement of facts, the participants shall submit the drafted document in PDF Format within 2 hours on the given email-ID.
• The total duration for the Legal Drafting Competition shall be two hours.

Eligibility

• Only one team from a law college is allowed to participate in the competition.
• The competition is open to 3-years and 5-years undergraduate law students from the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh only.
• Each team shall comprise 2 members.

Registration Fee

There is no registration fee for the competition.

Prizes

• WINNER: Rs. 15,000/- + Trophy & Merit Certificate
• 1st RUNNER UP: Rs. 10,000/-
• 2nd RUNNER UP: Rs. 5,000/-
• 3rd RUNNER UP: Rs. 3,000/-
• PARTICIPANTS: Certificate of Participation

• 06 April, 2025: Last Date of Registration. – Extended
• 08 April, 2025: Preliminary Round (Online)
• 18 April, 2025: Final Round (Offline)
