About MGCL
Mar Gregorios College of Law, established in 2012 amid the serene surroundings of Mar Ivanios Vidya Nagar, is an institution dedicated to excellence in legal education. Though young, it proudly continues the legacy of the campus founded in 1949 by Archbishop Geevarghese Mar Ivanios. Named after Archbishop Benedict Mar Gregorios, a visionary humanist, economist, and educationalist, the college reflects his values of knowledge, compassion and service.
As Kerala’s first NAAC-accredited law college, MGCL has grown into a centre of academic distinction and innovation. It offers five-year integrated LL.B. programs, along with a specialized LL.M. in Constitutional and Maritime Law. Honoured with national awards like the SILF-MILAT Institutional Excellence Award, the college strives to shape competent, ethical, and socially responsible legal professionals. Beyond academics, it promotes creativity, inquiry, and holistic learning, nurturing minds that lead with purpose and integrity.
About the Journal
The Journal of Mar Gregorios College of Law Volume 2, Issue 1 [ISSN 3107-9946] is a peer-reviewed national Journal that provides a platform for intellectual discussion and critical analysis in the subject of law and related disciplines. It accepts original and unpublished research pieces,that contribute to current legal issues and jurisprudential growth.
The scope covers a wide range of legal issues, including interdisciplinary subjects that investigate the intersection of law and society, politics, economics, and global governance are especially encouraged. The journal aims to promote academic engagement, policy relevance, and the progress of legal education and change.

Submission Guidelines
- Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
- All submissions shall undergo a blind review process.
- The Editorial Board reserves the right to accept or reject submissions, and the decision shall be final.
- Submissions must not exceed 10% similarity, excluding references, as per standard academic norms.
- Submissions may be screened for AI-generated content, and authors are responsible for ensuring originality, academic integrity, and substantive human authorship.
Formatting Guidelines
- Abstracts: Submit abstracts in italics, concise (150-300) words.
- Minimum word limit: 4000
- Maximum word limit: 8000 words.
- Font: Times New Roman
- Font size: Headings – 14; Body- 12
- Line Spacing: 1.5
- Margin: Left – 1.5; Right – 1; Top – 1; Bottom – 1
- Footnote: Times New Roman with Font size 10
- Subheadings: Times New Roman – 12, Left Aligned
- Footnotes: 20th Bluebook citation
