About the Opportunity

The Surana & Surana & School of Law, Sathyabama Human Welfare Moot Court Competition shall be held on March 20th – 22nd March 2025 on Campus School of Law, Sathyabama Institute of Science & Technology, Jeppiaar Nagar SH 49A, Rajiv Gandhi Salai, Chennai 600 119.

The Surana & Surana and School of Law, Sathyabama Human Welfare Moot has been conceived with the aim to:

• Create awareness of Human Welfare in a systematic/scientific manner and train participants for effective practice.
• Facilitate the evolution of Human Welfare through the jurisprudential analysis of the existing law and consequential emergence of new laws besides developing cutting-edge skills in research, writing and advocacy.

Eligibility

The competition is open for students who are pursuing LLB three-year / five-year courses during the current academic year. One team per university/institution shall be eligible to participate.

Team Composition

• Each team should consist of a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 3 members. This number cannot be modified under any circumstances.
• There shall be 2 speakers and 1 researcher designated for each team. The researcher shall be allowed to argue with the prior permission of the court and Chief Administrator in case of illness of the designated speakers.

Registration

• Online registrations are open from 6th February 2025. The teams must register online by 6th March 2025. Teams will have to register online at www.moot.in
• No temporary registration requests will be entertained. Kindly refrain from sending such requests to Surana & Surana or School of Law, Sathyabama, Chennai.
• Participants will receive an automated system-generated acknowledgement on successful submission of registration. Participants will receive an approval email as acceptance of their request for participation latest by 08th March 2025 or earlier.

In addition to the above awards, plaques and certificates will be given to other categories of

winners. All participants will be issued participation certificates.
