CPIO, Supreme Court of India v. Subhash Chandra Agrawal: It was held that Chief Justice of India is a “public authority” and comes within the meaning of Right to Information Act (RTI). He also happens to be the reason as to why the judges are required to share the details of their assets.

Mr. Agrawal’s activism dates back to 1967, when he had written a newspaper article when he was not issued a ticket by the bus conductor employed by the Delhi Transport Corporation.
