NALSAR University of Law (National Academy of Legal Studies and Research), established in 1998 in Hyderabad, is a premier, NAAC ‘A++’ accredited law school in India. It offers 5-year integrated B.A. LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D. programs with a focus on social justice, interdisciplinary studies, and a mandatory clinical legal training.

About the Environmental Law and Practice Review

ELPR provides a platform for innovative and critical analysis on topics including, but not limited  to, natural resources law, climate change policy, environmental governance, technology, and  human rights. The aim is to foster meaningful dialogue and propose solutions to pressing  environmental issues.

About Call for Papers

The Editorial Board of the Environmental Law and Practice Review (ELPR) invites original  submissions for Volume XI (2026-27). ELPR is a double-blind, peer-reviewed journal dedicated  to advancing scholarship in Environmental Law and Policy. We welcome contributions from  academicians, practitioners, researchers, and students that critically engage with contemporary  environmental challenges and legal developments.

Types of Contributions

  • Articles: Comprehensive studies with a central theme or argument, offering original  research, comparative analysis, or theoretical insights. Maximum length: 10,000 words  (including footnotes).
  • Essays: Concise, focused discussions on specific contemporary problems in  environmental law or science, prioritising original arguments and practical solutions. Maximum length: 6,000 words (including footnotes).
  • Case Comments / Legislative Critiques & Notes: Analytical pieces critiquing  legislation, policies, or judicial decisions, with recommendations for reform. Maximum  length: 3,500 words (including footnotes).
  • Book Reviews: Critical evaluations of books published within the last three years, relevant  to environmental law or science. Maximum length: 3,000 words (including footnotes).

Kindly Note: All submissions must include an abstract of 250-300 words.

Submission Guidelines

  • Formatting: Times New Roman, font size 12 (main text), 10 (footnotes), 1.5 line spacing.  Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format.
  • Citation: OSCOLA citation style. Speaking footnotes are discouraged. ∙ Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration  elsewhere. Plagiarism will result in immediate rejection.
  • Authorship: Joint authorship is permitted with no cap on the number of authors. ∙ Ethics: Authors are responsible for securing permissions for any unpublished works cited  and ensuring the manuscript contains no libellous or scandalous material.
