Dr. Pallab Das Authors Two Transformative Books on Law, Mental Health, and Resilience

Dr. Pallab Das, Founding Dean at the School of Law, Centurion University, has authored two significant books that address some of the most pressing and often overlooked dimensions of the legal profession—mental health, resilience, and human wellbeing. His latest works, Understanding Mental Health through the Prism of Law and Rising from the Void: A Journey of Grit and Survival, bring together legal scholarship, personal experience, and social awareness in a way rarely seen in Indian academia.
About the Author
Dr. Das is a distinguished legal academic and practitioner, specialising in Maritime Law, International Commercial Arbitration, and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). He holds a PhD in Maritime Arbitration Law (NLU Odisha), an LLM in Maritime and Commercial Law (Swansea University, UK), and a BSL LLB (ILS Law College, Pune). He has also completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Maritime Law at CINEC, Sri Lanka, and holds certifications in Mediation and Arbitration.
His earlier publications include Contemporary Perspectives in International Arbitration (2023), Maritime Arbitration: Judicial Trends and Practice (2022), and Through the Lens of Maritime Law (2020). His research has been featured in SCOPUS and UGC CARE journals. Recognised with multiple honours, including the Leadership Excellence Award (2025), Educator Excellence Award (2024), and Excellence in Academic-Maritime Legal Award (2022), Dr. Das has consistently merged academic leadership with public advocacy.
