About the Organisation
The Chair on Consumer Research and Policy (CCRP) functions under the National University of Study and Research in Law (NUSRL), Ranchi. Established in collaboration with the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, CCRP is dedicated to promoting consumer awareness, strengthening protection mechanisms, and advancing research and policy engagement in consumer law.
About the Event
The Auxilium Consumer National Blog Writing Competition, 2026 is a national-level academic initiative sponsored by Sharma Kemp Chambers. The competition promotes critical engagement with contemporary issues in consumer welfare, artificial intelligence, digital markets, and dispute resolution, with the objective of bridging academic research and professional legal practice.
Eligibility
Open to students and young professionals across India interested in consumer law and policy.

The competition invites submissions under the broader themes of:
Consumer Welfare
- Artificial Intelligence, Consumer Protection, and Dispute Resolution in Digital Markets
- Contemporary Challenges and Developments in Consumer Protection and Dispute Resolution
- Market Fairness, Accountability, and Consumer Access to Justice
Submissions shall fall under one of the following sub-themes:
- Dark Patterns
- Interplay between Consumer Law and Artificial Intelligence / Technology Law
- Consumer Law and Dispute Resolution
- Consumer Protection in Digital and E-Commerce Markets
- Algorithmic Transparency and Automated Decision-Making
- Unfair Trade Practices in Online Advertising and Influencer Marketing
- Consumer Protection in FinTech and Digital Payment Systems
- Algorithmic Transparency and Evidence in Consumer Dispute Proceedings
- Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) and Access to Justice
- The Evolving Consumer Protection Act and Dispute Redressal in India
Submission Categories
- Single-author submission
- Co-authored submission
Prizes
- ₹6,000 – Winner
- ₹4,000 – Runner-up
- Internship opportunities with Sharma Kemp Chambers for select participants (subject to eligibility and availability)
Formatting Guidelines
- Word limit: 1200–1500 words
- OSCOLA citation style mandatory
- Hyperlinks preferred for references; endnotes permitted
- Strict zero-AI policy
- Maximum 15% plagiarism threshold
Selection Guidelines
Submissions will undergo a two-round evaluation process. Publication is subject to editorial discretion.
