About the Magazine Committee

Established in the year 2019, the Magazine Committee aims to chronicle and showcase the diverse activities and achievements within the institution as well as of the various competitions organized by the Committee.

The Committee publishes its bi-annual magazine ‘The Muses’, written and edited by the students of the Department of Law, University of Calcutta, which chronicles all activities under the aegis of the institution and paints a picture of the yearly endeavors of this institute and its students.
This publication provides a platform for the students to exhibit their creative, scientific, literary, and academic prowess. In this edition, the committee is accepting submissions from all.

It also runs an online blog “The Musing” where articles, essays, poems, and interviews are published.

About the Competition

Chitrahaar is the flagship photography competition organised by the Committee. Various themes are given based on which the photographer needs to click pictures.

Attention all budding photographers and lovers of the monsoon! We are excited to invite you to Chitrahaar, our annual photography competition, where this year’s theme is as mesmerizing as the season itself: “बरखा की रागमाला / বৃষ্টির রাগিণী / The Symphony of Monsoon Music.”

Capture the Magic of the Monsoon

Picture the first raindrop kissing the earth, the symphony of rain against your window, the vibrant greens bursting to life, and the joy of children dancing in the puddles. We want to see how you interpret the enchanting music of the monsoon through your lens.
