Details of the Event

Amity Law School, Amity University Madhya Pradesh is organizing the 9th AUMP Virtual Moot Court Competition, 2026.

The competition aims to provide law students with a national platform to develop and showcase their legal research, drafting, analytical reasoning, and oral advocacy skills through a simulated courtroom experience.

The competition will encourage participants to analyse contemporary legal issues, formulate persuasive arguments, and present their submissions before a virtual bench, thereby promoting practical and experiential legal learning.

Eligibility

Students duly enrolled and pursuing a full-time 3-year or 5-year undergraduate law course from any recognized university or institution in India are eligible to participate, subject to the conditions specified in the Rulebook.

Location

  • Mode: Online (Virtual)
  • Host Institution: Amity University, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, India

Team Composition

  • Each team shall consist of a minimum of two and a maximum of three members.
  • A two-member team shall comprise two Speakers, while a three-member team shall comprise two Speakers and one Researcher.
  • The roles of Speakers and Researcher, as applicable, shall be identified at the time of registration.
  • The Researcher shall not be permitted to speak during the oral rounds except with the permission of the Judge(s).
  • Multiple teams from the same institution may participate, subject to the provisions of the Rulebook.
  • Only registered team members shall be permitted to participate in the Competition.

  • Teams are required to register through the official registration form within the prescribed timeline.
  • Registration shall be considered complete only upon successful submission of the registration form and payment of the applicable registration fee.
  • A unique Team Code shall be allotted to each registered team for identification and further communication.

Fee Details

  • Registration Fee: ₹1,500 per team
  • Mode of Payment: As specified in the official registration form.

The participants shall bear any applicable transaction charges.

Important Dates

  • Last Date for Registration: 9th September 2026
  • Last date to seek clarification: 10th September 2026
  • Last date to submit memorial: 13th September 2026
  • Competition Dates: 17th–18th September 2026

Prizes

  • Winner: ₹7,000
  • Runner-Up: ₹5,000
  • Best Researcher: ₹2,500
  • Best Counsel: ₹2,500
  • Best Memorial: ₹2,500

In addition to the above, certificates and other recognitions shall be provided as specified in the official Brochure/Rulebook.
