7th KLA National ADR Competition by Kerala Law Academy Law College [Cash Prizes Rs 20K]: Register by Aug 20

The Kerala Law Academy Law College (KLA), Thiruvananthapuram, in association with its Moot Court Society (MCS) and IQAC KLA, warmly invites law students across India to participate in the 7th Edition of the Kerala Law Academy ADR Competition, 2026. Designed to foster skills in Alternative Dispute Resolution, negotiation, conciliation, mediation, and arbitration, this national-level competition provides a practical platform for aspiring legal professionals to simulate real-world dispute resolution mechanisms.

Kerala Law Academy Law College (KLA), established in 1966, stands as one of the premier legal education institutions in India, widely recognised for its academic excellence, rigorous training standards, and contributions to legal scholarship. Affiliated with the University of Kerala and approved by the Bar Council of India, KLA has produced generations of distinguished advocates, judicial officers, academics, public administrators, and policy leaders across the country.

About the Competition
The 7th Edition of the KLA National ADR Competition incorporates hypothetical legal problems designed to test participants’ negotiation, mediation, conciliation, and arbitration strategies. The competition covers three distinct dispute resolution segments:
- Conciliation (Preliminary Round)
- Mediation (Semi-Final Round)
- International Arbitration (Final Round)
Eligibility
- Open to all law colleges, law schools, and university departments in India recognized by the Bar Council of India (BCI).
- Enrolled students pursuing 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. programmes are eligible.
- Students undergoing post-graduation in law or correspondence courses are not eligible.
- Multiple teams per institution are permitted with official authorization/permission from the institution.
Team Composition
Each team shall consist of 3 Members:
- 2 Party Members (Claimant/Complainant & Respondent)
- 1 Rapporteur

- Mode: Hybrid
- Preliminary Round: 18 September 2026 (Virtual via Zoom)
- Semi-Final Round: 19 September 2026 (Virtual via Zoom)
- Final Round: 9 October 2026 (In-person at V. R. Krishna Iyer Hall, KLA Campus, Thiruvananthapuram)

- Best Team: Cash Prize of ₹20,000
- Second Best Team: Certificate of Honour
- Best Rapporteur: Certificate of Honour
- Participation Certificates: Awarded to every participant.
