Details of the event

The Moot Court Society (MCS), School of Law, Lovely Professional University, is pleased to invite your esteemed institution to participate in the 7th Gavelled Moot Court Competition, scheduled to be held from 1st to 3rd April 2026 at Lovely Professional University (LPU), Phagwara. The Gavelled Moot Court Competition, the flagship event of our School of Law, seeks to cultivate critical engagement with pressing contemporary issues in criminal jurisprudence.

This year’s moot proposition examines criminal adjudication in the digital age, with a focus on the evidentiary integrity of forensic data, electronic surveillance, witness testimony, procedural fairness, chain of custody, and technological reliability offering a rigorous platform for analyzing complex factual disputes and constitutional safeguards.

Eligibility

Any individual who is currently enrolled in either a three-year LL.B. degree program or a five-year integrated law degree program, and is in any year of such course at the time of application, shall be eligible to apply.

Location

The event shall be conducted in offline mode and will be held at Lovely Professional University, located in Jalandhar, Punjab.

Registration Procedure

Participants are required to complete the registration process by filling in the necessary details through the official registration link. Upon submission of the required information, participants must proceed with the prescribed payment. Thereafter, the registration form provided in the brochure must be duly filled and submitted by sending it to the designated email address as specified.

Fee details

The registration fee shall be ₹6,000/- if the registration is completed on or before 10 March 2026. Registrations completed after 10 March 2026 shall be subject to a fee of ₹6,500/-.

Prizes

• The winning team will receive certificate of winning, trophy with a prize money of ₹51,000/-
• The runner-up team will receive certificate of runner up, trophy, with a prize money of ₹31,000/-
• Best Speaker will receive a trophy, certificate and a prize money of ₹10,000/-
• Best Researcher will receive a trophy, certificate and prize money of ₹10,000/-
• The team submitting the best Memorial will receive a trophy, Certificate and a prize money of ₹10,000/-
• All the participants will be awarded with the participation certificate
