About NUJS
The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS) was established under the WBNUJS Act, 1999 (West Bengal Act IX of 1999) adopted by the West Bengal Legislature in July, 1999. The University was notified under Clause (f) of Section 2 of the UGC Act, 1956 in August 2004 and has been granted permanent affiliation by the Bar Council of India in July 2005. NUJS has been awarded A+ accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in 2024.
About 6th CCI – NUJS National Competition Law Moot
The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata, is organising a moot court competition for undergraduate law students across India. The competition features a memorial qualifier round followed by oral rounds from 18 to 20 December 2026. Participants will compete for cash prizes, certificates of merit and internship opportunities at leading law firms, gaining valuable advocacy experience.

Eligibility and Team Composition
The Competition is open to all students, enrolled bona fide at the time of the competition on a regular basis in an undergraduate LL.B. degree programme (either 3 years LL.B. or 5 years LL.B.) or its equivalent conducted by any recognized Institution/College/University in India. Students enrolled in postgraduate or diploma programmes are not eligible to participate.
Each Team shall comprise a minimum of 2 (two) and maximum 3 (three) members. In case of a three-member team, two members of the Team shall be designated as Speakers and the third member shall be designated as the Researcher. In case of a two-member team, both members shall be designated as Orators.
Any additional member or Team Coach accompanying a Team shall not be recognized and will not be entitled to a certificate for the Competition.

Team Registration Fees
The registration fee per team for the memo qualifier round INR 5,400 for regular registrations. The top 32 teams will be required to make an additional payment of INR 6,600 by 8th December 2026 for registration in the speaking rounds (this would include accommodations and local transportation from the University to the place of accommodation for the days of the event).
