About the Organising University

Tamil Nadu National Law University (TNNLU) was established by the Government of Tamil Nadu by an Act of the State Legislature (Act No. 9 of 2012) to provide high-quality legal education. The University aims to enhance knowledge of law, legal systems, and their role in promoting national development while nurturing advocacy skills, legal services, legislation, and law reform.

About the Opportunity

Tamil Nadu National Law University is organising the 4th TNNLU National Tamil Trial Advocacy Competition, 2026 scheduled to take place on 28th February to March 1st 2026

Venue

Tamil Nadu National Law University, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility

The Competition is open to all students enrolled in 3-year LL.B. or 5-year integrated LL.B. programmes across India. Each Institution/University may send only one team.

Team Composition

Each team shall consist of 3 Members – Two Speakers and One Researcher. The Researcher shall also act as a Witness during the trial.

Registration Procedure

  • The Competition is limited to 20 teams on a first-come-first-serve basis.
  • Institutions may provisionally register through the given link. Confirmation of the slot will be provided by the Organisers.
  • Final Registration requires submission of the form, payment of a non-refundable fee of ₹3000/- per team, and confirmation from the Organisers.

  • Release of Trial Proposition & Rule Book: 21.01.2026
  • Deadline for clarification: 08.02.02026
