About Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Puducherry

Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Puducherry, was established in the year 1972 by the Government of Puducherry, and presently, it is affiliated to Pondicherry University and approved by Bar Council India. This institution is known all over India for its excellence and rich contribution to legal education.

In Puducherry, it is the only Government Law College having a vast curriculum, and it has earned its reputation in such a way that legal education in Puducherry and Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College have been treated as synonymous with each other. Currently, the institution has 590 students, including research scholars, and it attracts quality students from all over India.

About the 42nd All-India Moot Court Competition

This edition being the XLII edition of the All-India Moot Court Competition, focuses on a contemporary issue involving both Constitutional Law and Artificial Intelligence. The problem is based upon issues of ‘Right to Privacy ‘Use of Artificial Intelligence in the contemporary era.’ The challenges arising with the use of such technologies and how the existing Constitutional provisions are addressing them is the core theme of this year’s Moot Proposition.

Eligibility

Participation is restricted to bona fide undergraduate students of 5 years B.A. LL.B. and 3 years LL.B. programme of any University/College/Institution (recognised by the Bar Council of India).

Registration/ Submission Procedure

• Institutions that are interested in sending a team to participate in this Moot Court Competition are required to send an e-mail to [email protected] to provisionally register for the same.
• The last date for provisional registration is 10th March, 2026.
• A confirmation e-mail will be sent to the colleges who have sent the provisional registration emails.
• The participating team must submit the hard copy of the Registration Form along with the DD and travel form on or before 19th March, 2026.
• The Registration Form, along with the demand draft, should be sent by post to The Principal, Dr. Ambedkar Government Law College, Mathur Road, PeriyaKalapet, Puducherry – 605014. Upon receipt of the hard copy of the registration form, the team codes of the participating teams will be sent via E-mail.
• After Registration, any request for change of name/ participants will not be entertained except at the sole discretion of the Moot Court Committee.
• The Registration fee is Rs.3000/- for each participating team (including accommodation), payable only by way of DD drawn in favour of The Principal, Dr Ambedkar Government Law College, Puducherry, payable at Puducherry
