About the Opportunity

Patel Law College is delighted to announce the 1st Patel A. Ramaiah Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2025 which shall provide students with an opportunity to engage with a meticulously crafted hypothetical case to showcase their advocacy and argumentative skills. The competition will be judged by an esteemed panel of eminent personalities, offering participants an unparalleled experience to enhance their legal acumen and courtroom expertise.

Theme

The 1st Patel A. Ramaiah Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2025, is centered around the theme of Constitutional Law in India, a subject that forms the bedrock of the country’s legal framework. This competition aims to challenge participants with intricate constitutional questions, encouraging them to delve into fundamental rights, separation of powers, judicial review, and the dynamic interplay between the legislature, executive, and judiciary. Given the evolving nature of constitutional jurisprudence, the competition will provide a platform for students to critically analyze contemporary legal issues, interpret landmark judgments, and develop well-reasoned arguments. Through this, participants will gain a deeper understanding of constitutional principles and their real-world implications in India’s democratic structure.

Eligibility

Law students enrolled in a five-year integrated undergraduate law program are eligible to participate in the competition. Each team must consist of three members: two speakers and one researcher. Furthermore, L.L.M. students are not permitted to participate.

Registration Fee

All teams registering for the 1st Patel A. Ramaiah Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2025, are required to make a single final payment of INR 3000/- (inclusive of accommodation and food). Details regarding the mode of payment, including UPI ID, are provided in the brochure.

  • Winner- Rs. 30,000/-
  • Runners-Up- Rs. 20,000/-
  • Best Memorial- Rs. 10,000/-
  • Best Speaker (Male)- Rs. 10,000/-
  • Best Speaker (Female)- Rs. 10,000/-
  • Best Researcher- Rs.10,000/-

  • Last date for receipt of soft copy of Registration form along with scanned copy of the transactional details- 24th March 2025 (Extended)
  • Last date for receipt of hard copy of Registration form along with transaction details- 14th March 2025
  • Last date for queries regarding the problem- 25th March 2025
  • Last date for submission of Memorials (Soft Copy)- 5th April 2025
  • Last date for submission of Memorials (Hard Copy)- 12th April 2025
  • Inaugural Function- 9th May 2025
