About the University

Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies-Technical Campus (VIPS-TC) is in Pitampura, New Delhi, India. It is a private college, affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU).[1] It has seven different schools/departments. The college admits students in the different schools based on their performance in the IPU common entrance test for the respective course. Apart from the Common entrance test, the college also accepts CLAT for law and CAT scores for business administration courses.

Details about the Opportunity

In its tenth edition, the VIPS 10th Moot Court Competition 2025 on International Law continues its tradition of fostering a high-standard competitive platform for law students across the globe. The competition will be conducted in a two-stage format in a hybrid mode— commences with a memorial evaluation round, followed by oral rounds, including the Preliminary Rounds (Online Mode), Quarter-Finals, Semi-Finals, and Finals (On-site), which shall take place on campus at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies – Technical Campus, New Delhi.

The moot proposition will revolve around pressing and contemporary issues in Public International Law and its diverse branches, compelling participants to undertake comprehensive legal research, develop well-structured arguments, and present their case with precision and professionalism.

Eligibility

The Competition is open to all bona fide regular students enrolled in any Law Course (LL. B/ LL.M) or its (equivalent international) program in any University or Institute within or outside India recognized by the Bar Council or State Government or Central Government as the case may be. Each team shall comprise a minimum of two members i.e., two speakers, and a maximum of three members i.e., two speakers and one researcher. Thus, each team shall be composed of Two Speakers (Compulsory) and a Researcher (if any). A maximum of two teams are allowed to participate in the competition from one institute.

Once registration is complete, the composition of the team shall not be altered. Any change shall be permitted only under exceptional circumstances and subject to the discretion of the Organizing Committee. 

Changes in the roles of participants in the team, will only be allowed if a request is made by the Faculty-in-Charge or the Head of the Institution or Department of the concerned team, as applicable.

The discretion to allow or disallow such change shall solely rest with the Organizing Committee depending upon the reasonability of the cause shown, the stage of the Competition, and compliance with the aforementioned rules.

An online training session, before the preliminary rounds, shall be held for all the participants, with respect to the various aspects of the competition.

The participation fees shall be :-

• Preliminary Round Fee: ₹3,500/- per team
• Advanced Round Fee (if qualified): ₹1,500/- per team

Accommodation shall be provided to teams qualifying for the oral rounds on a chargeable basis. A maximum of two rooms shall be allotted for each team. Charges shall be applicable accordingly.
