Brief profile of V.R. High School and College
V.R. High School and College Committee started the high school in 1875 and a college in 1921. The Committee in response to the popular demand thought of starting a Law College as early as 1966 and requested Sri Venkateswara University authorities to grant affiliation for starting B.L. Degree Course.
The Request was not acceded to by the University as there was no faculty of law at the University then. The request was renewed in 1972 and the college was started in 1974.
V.R. High School and College constructed a building with 30 rooms for its exclusive use. The college has developed beyond expectations. There are a sufficient number of classrooms, a well-furnished moot court hall and a well-equipped library.
V.R. High School and College possesses an adequate number of staff members who have specialized in different branches of Law. The percentage of passes in the university examination is quite satisfactory. As per the recommendations of the Bar Council of India, New Delhi and as adopted by Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, College switched over to the Semester system for LL.B Degree course.
On its establishment, it was affiliated with Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati and now it is affiliated with Vikrama Simhapuri University, Nellore from the academic year 2010-2011. The 5 Years LL.B Degree course was reintroduced from the academic year 2014-2015.
