Brief Profile of Suryadeo Law College, Katihar

The college was affiliated to L.N. Mithila University, Darbhanga and duly recognised by the Government of Bihar, then it was affiliated to B.N. Mandal University Madhepura Now it is permanent affiliated unit of Purnea University.

The people of katihar resolved unanimously on 4^th September 1981 to start a Law College and constitute an Ad-hoc Committee for the purpose. The college was being run as a result of the gracious donation and efforts of Late Suryadeo Narayan Sinha of Jageshwarnagar, Katihar and of others fees received from the students. The college is running on its own building having 5A. 14D. Land and the law college has proper arrangement for the teaching in law with the help of experienced Teachers proficient in law and all other subjects. It prepares its students for examination in pre-law, L.LB. Part-I, Part-II & Part-III respectively conducted by Purnea University, Purnea to enable them to obtain L.LB. Professional degrees. The college runs daily, except Sunday and Holiday from 6:30 A.M. to 12:30 P.M..
