Achal Das Bohra (December 22 , 1918 -February 17,2007) was a prominent Indian engineer, academecian,author,educator and philanthropist hailing from the town of jodhpur, Rajasthan.Bohra graduated at the top of his class in 1941 from Banaras Hindu University(BHU) in Varanasi,India with a double Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical EngineeringBohra was the founder-promoter of the MBM Engineering College,the Birla Institute Of Technology & Science in Pilani (BITS) and Mahila (P.G) Mahavidhyalaya College in Jodhpur,one of two women-only colleges in entire state of Rajasthan.Bohra was also in governing body of Lachoo Memorial College of Science & Technology in Jodhpur.
