The Campus Recruitment Committee (CRC), 2022, is proud to announce that the students of West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata have once again secured record placements across all National Law Universities (NLUs) in the country for the graduating Batch of 2022.
A total of 118 job offers were made to the Batch, with many students receiving multiple job offers. A total of 80 students accepted job offers – this number does not include the students who had standing job offers but decided to opt for alternative career options.
The average annual packages offered by foreign law firms ranged from INR 50-55 lakhs, with top domestic law firms offering annual packages between INR 15-18 lakhs. Students joining companies in the role of in-house counsels received packages ranging from INR 12-14 lakhs.
Keeping in line with the trends over the past years, students in the Batch of 2022 have also opted for diverse career paths. These range from students opting for careers in the civil and judicial services, engaging in ground level policy initiatives, higher studies in foreign universities, among others.
Despite the pandemic, the record of the Batch of 2022 underscores the excellence that has been a hallmark of NUJS and its graduating students over the years. This could not have been possible without the immense trust placed by the Batch of 2022 in the members of the CRC 2022, as well as the CRCs of the previous and current batches.
We remain equally grateful to our faculty advisor Prof. Mr. Anirban Mazumdar, who has been a pillar of support . The entire process of recruitment would never have been the success it was without the continuous guidance and support of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Nirmal Kanti Chakrabarti, the faculty, and all administrative and non-administrative staff at NUJS. Our gratitude also goes out to the alumni, for their support for University and its students over the years.
The CRC 2022 comprised of Amartya Srivastava, Ankit Pal, Anoushka Soni (Coordinator), Dhawal Sagar Nirash (Coordinator), Gaurav Sandeep Karwa, Harishankar Raghunath, Harsh Vardhan Singh, Kabir Walia, and Tasneem Mansur Zakir.
