Brief Profile of Department of Law, Rani Durgawati University, Jabalpur

Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalayawas established under Jabalpur University Act on the 12^thof June 1956 . Since then the University has chartered an illustrious· history of 65 golden· years· of academic· achievements and intellectual· leadership.

The achievements of the University has been recognized and documented by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council in 2014 , when it awarded a high· rating of “B” . We are striving for an even better rating in next· accreditation .

The University has the proud· privilege· of having a host· of luminaries from academic· and public life· . The founder Vice Chancellor Pt . Kunjilal Dubey has also been the speaker· of Madhya Pradesh Vidhan Sabha . The present Vice Chancellor Prof . Kapil Deo Mishra also dons many feathers to his cap in academia and administration· . The noteworthy· contributions are new job-oriented and skill-based courses such as Bachelor of Vocation in Medical Lab Technology and Building Construction , Masters in Cyber Security , Bachelor of Physical Education and Sports , Diploma in Renewable Energy , Design Innovation are to name· few , and several innovative programmes are in pipeline . The curriculum up-gradation is achieved by adopting Learning Outcome based-Choice Based Credit System in all the programmes of the University , and has made the University at par with the leading HEI’s within India and abroad .

The University has also digitalized much of the Academic and Administrative activities by way of evolving platform for online admission, teaching and learning , examination and result processing , including dissipation· of digital form· of student· records , purchases and financial matters , and college affiliation . In acknowledging its social responsibilities , the University has adopted adjoining villages for literary and other extension activities , has undertaken treatment· of Leprosy patients , extended continuous psychometric tests , Blood and other Medical camps and periodic Employment Fairs .
