Brief profile of National College of Law, Shivamogga
National College of Law, Shivamogga was established in the year 1966 by National Education Society®, Shivamogga. BAR COUNCIL OF INDIA, New Delhi has recognized the institution from its inception, and the college is accorded Permanent affiliation by KARNATAKA STATE LAW UNIVERSITY. This College is Re-accredited and assessed by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)–UGC at B+ Level by 2016. The College was re-nomenclature as C. Bhimasena Rao National College of law in the reminisce of its former Principal.
The institution offers a Three-year LL.B, degree course for graduates as well as a five-year LL.B, an Integrated degree course for students passing PUC/ (10+2) level with 45 per cent of marks. The Centre for postgraduate studies in law was started in the year 2004-05 to impart postgraduate education in business law. However, presently the centre is offering One year LL.M., of two semesters Programme in constitutional law. The Postgraduate LL.M., Programme is open to all law graduates with 45 % who qualify in the entrance examination conducted by Law University.
