The University is recognised by UGC under section 2(f) of UGC Act, 1956 and is empowered by UGC to award degrees under Section 22 of UGC Act, 1956.

ICFAI Law School Ranchi, a constituent unit of Faculty of Law of the ICFAI University, Jharkhand with an objective of developing a new generation of legal professionals through comprehensive and contemporary body of knowledge in integrating law with management. ICFAI Law School offers BBA-LL.B(Hons.), BA-LL.B (Hons.) and LL.B programs.
