About The Indian Law Society
Indian Law Society established ILS Law College in 1924, with a view of facilitating infrastructure essential for the study of law. The establishment of the Law College by the Indian Law Society was indeed a pivotal moment in Indian Legal Education as the College exemplified academic excellence, social relevance, and professional competence. Imaginative realignment of written law or the hard law with a view to reorient them with the Indian social milieu has always been the strength of the Indian Law Society.
About the Online certificate program
It is pertinent to study and understand Commercial Courts Act at this juncture because Sections 7, 9 and 10 of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 is suspended. Hence, litigants who were earlier looking at recovering the default amounts by taking recourse to IBC will still want to pursue litigation and look at options that will have a time-bound hearing and disposal of the matter. Also, the other important objective of a fair and effective utilisation of scarce judicial resources cannot be lost sight of.
Indian Law Society presents this Online Certificate program on Commercial Courts- Law, Practice and Procedure to enable the participants to understand and appreciate finer practical aspects of strategy, pleadings, nuances of arguments, and conducting proceedings in the Commercial courts.
