Brief Profile of Faculty of Law, Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla<\/h2>\n

Himachal Pradesh University was established on 22 July 1970 by an Act of Himachal Pradesh legislative Assembly.\u00a0The faculty of law of the university came into existence on the same date, whereas other departments were created in subsequent years.<\/p>\n

It is the only multi-faculty residential and affiliating university in the State that provides higher education to urban, rural and tribal areas through formal and distant modes.The prime objective of the University is to disseminate knowledge, advance learning and understanding through research, training and extension programmes.<\/p>\n

The Faculty of law has a distinction of producing some best professionals, statesmen and officers rendering useful service to the nation.\u00a0Since its inception the faculty has been actively engaged in imparting legal education, training and legal research benefiting students desirous of pursuing their career in law.<\/p>\n
