Brief Profile of Department of Law, Punjabi University<\/h2>\n

The Department of Law, which was established in 1965, has played a significant role in providing legal education in the region. A large number of judicial officers in the State of Punjab and Haryana are former students of this Department. The students of LL.B. are trained in practical work by engaging them to organise in villages free legal aid camps, moot courts and attaching them with practising lawyers. The visits to the courts to watch the court proceedings in action is an integral part of their syllabi.<\/p>\n
