Government post graduate college bareli, dist. raisen (m.p.)\u00a0was estabished by the tireless effrots of ex. president dr. shankar dayal sharma in the year 1961. the present building and the hostel were built in 1964-65. situated at jaipur-jabalpur n.h.12, the college is the oldest college of raisen district. the efforts made by the dignitaries of bareli are praiseworthy in the establishment of the college. the college was built on the land donated by the dignitaries of the town\/city of bareli. the 32 \u00a0acres of wide area and beautiful well furnished building gives a different identity to the college.<\/p>\n
The library of the college has a number of books, magazines, journals and newspapers. the staff quarters are also there in the campus. the students pursuing higher studies in the discipilned and anti ragging atmosphere are the pride of the college. affiliated to barkatullah university bhopal, the college cunducts courses approved by the government. the college also runs self-finance courses bca and pgdca approved by the governing body of the college, janbhagidari committee.<\/p>\n
